My Dental Care Routine

Coconut oil for oil pulling

I will be sharing how I care for my teeth and gums each day.

Something I love to do each day is oilpulling. It takes some time to get used to but oilpulling can help pull bad bacteria from your mouth and also remove coffee stains. You basically take a spoonful of organic, cold pressed coconut oil and swish it between your teeth for at least twenty minutes. If you cannot stand the taste of plain coconut oil, I recommend adding a few drops of peppermint oil or lavender oil to make it taste better. You can also buy individual satchets of pre mixed coconut oil with peppermint which are very convenient. This is the brand I use:

Oil Pulling Sachets
In addition to oil pulling each morning, I make sure to brush my teeth thoroughly morning and night. I cannot use a toothpaste that contains sodium lauryl sulfate or fluoride because it aggravates my perioral dermatitis, so the brand I use is this one:

Fluoride and SLS free toothpaste
I also use a brushing rise hydrogen peroxide mouthwash to get rid of any lingering bacteria, as well as a tongue scrapper. The tongue scrapper ensures to remove any leftover bacteria or food lingering on your tongue and this is so important because the tongue is the area where most gross bacteria in your mouth hangs out so you really want to make sure to scrape it all off! My mouth has never been cleaner since adding these items to my routine and I also get sick less often. Tongue Scraper

Hydrogen Peroxide Rinse
I hope you guys give this items a try. Ive never had cleaner, better breath in such a long time. I also have had no cavities or issues with my teeth since implementing these products.
